I envy people who have a spare room dedicated to their hobby - a place where they can be surrounded by their favorite past time and forget the demands of life for a while!
This room belongs to a client who needed this space to function better. He has a large collection of games and wants an area dedicated to his craft. This is also where the family watches TV. As you can see, plenty of storage is needed for games and supplies.
This wall opposite the TV is where this small sofa sits and beside it is a desk to hold the computer and printer.
Inside the closet are shelves that hold more gaming models and crafting supplies.

It was great to have my daughter assist me on this job. The first thing we did was to remove the doors from the closet and place the desk next to it. We set up a card table in the closet for extra crafting space and a shelf inside to hold supplies. I suggested wall shelves above the table to store games on and free up leg space. This would also allow him to slide the desk chair over to work from there.
Placing the sofa next to the desk creates a great lounging area to view the TV (also in a new place).
We moved the old entertainment center out and created a new setup using two Ikea Expedit shelves that had been hiding in the closet. Placing one on it's side and one upright makes a perfect place to hold the TV, DVD's and books.

Moving unnecessary furniture out of this room allows it to function better. It seems larger now and the extra floor space is a great place for their 2 year old son to play!
Thanks for taking a look!
